heute habe ich mein asus m6n notebook mal operiert. es hatte ja altersbendingt einige hitzeproblemchen und hörte kaum noch auf mit dem lüfter zu wedeln. also zu zimmermann und wärmeleitpaste gekauft, nachdem ich die überreste des wärmeleitpflasters gesehen habe. mit aceton sauber gerubbelt und dann frisch verschmiert wieder zusammengebaut. und ich muss sagen…. der lüfter bleibt aus. ich habe zwar auch noch einige kilo an staub und dreck aus dem kühlkörper und lüfter entfernt aber das nur am rande. der 4 (vier!) jahre alte laptop läuft noch gut und durch meine akkupflege hält der vier jahre alte akku noch über drei stunden! da bin ich ja ein wenig von meinem macbook enttäuscht, dass der akku meines neuen macbooks kürzer hält als der akku meines ollen asus! aber anscheinend bin ich mit meinem akku da eine ausnahme. es kommt halt doch auf die pflege an! jetzt geht der asus m6800n in die wohlverdiente rente. nicht zu vergessen, dass ich auch ein paar problemchen mit asus hatte, und ein schlechteres display bei einer reperatur eingebaut bekam! das war schon großes kino von asus!

today i opened up my asus m6n notebook to handle the heat problem. the fan didn’t stop anymore so i cleaned the heat pipe the fan and after i bought thermal conductance paste i cleaned the cpu and copper to assemble it again. now the fan doesn’t run nonstop and the cpu temperature is lower. quite happy that the battery still runs for over 3 hours (after 4 years!) i’m a little disapointed of my macbook battery which runs less! seems that my battery is an exception, and i refer it to my maintenance. now my asus gets retired. but i will not forget the problems i had with asus installing a worse display during a repair of my mainboard! and got to send it in 3 times after that because of bad communication inside asus.
